Laudato Si – On Care for Our Common Home
September 17 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
4-week Reflective Seminar with Dr Peter Saunders
“The entire material universe speaks of God’s love and boundless affection for us. Soil, water, mountains: everything is, as it were, a caress of God.” (Laudato Si, n.84).
Pope Francis has established the Season of Creation from September 1 to October 4. It is a month whereby we are invited to reconsider our relationship with God’s Creation in particular with Earth. In these four sessions we look at Pope Francis’ encyclical – Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home. Through this encyclical the Pope invites us into an ecological conversion of our heart that inspires us to live differently with Earth and all of Creation. This seminar will prayerfully reflect on Pope Francis’ encyclical and how it can apply to our lives and our parishes.
“The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely. Hence, there is a mystical meaning to be found in a leaf, in a mountain trail, in a dew drop, in a poor person’s face.” (Laudato Si, n.233).
